Wangmu Danzeng
Wangmu Danzeng, attorney, focuses her practice on state and federal tax controversies and litigation.
Ms. Danzeng represents the firm’s state tax clients in administrative and legal proceedings before the Comptroller’s office, the State Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Texas state courts. Ms. Danzeng works on IRS cases involving substantial corporate and individual taxes. She also works on state tax cases including disputes arising under the Texas sales and use tax and other state taxes. Ms. Danzeng represents the firm’s state tax clients in administrative and legal proceedings before the Comptroller’s office, the State Office of Administrative Hearings and the Texas state courts. She also represents federal tax clients at the administrative appeals level and in proceedings before the United States Tax Court.

Ms. Danzeng received her J.D./Tax LLM from the University of Houston Law Center.
Prior to enrolling in the University of Houston Law Center J.D. program, she was a general counsel for one and half years at a US-owned food tech company, providing advice on contracts, Chinese intellectual property, business, and human resource law, as well as researching statutes and local regulations. She also built a solid legal foundation as a public defense attorney for more than four years. During law school, she was a law clerk in the legal department of an IT firm and built strong legal research skills.
